Mental Health Mental Health MH also the prefix for Mandurah in Western Australian on number plates...anyway...
My passion for safety training starts way back ...mindset....mental health, same same different.
A lot of talk about both mental health and lived experience, most would suggest they go hand in hand..
Is it because of technology or terror, or is it terror via technology... not sure, food for thought. Food what's going on there..
More media, better awareness, what is it...
Speaking to people certainly has changed, from a range of things, technology, travel restrictions, various international, national and state mandates, disease the list goes on.
Everyone was hooded, no smiles to be seen, people prisoners in there own home, not allowed to leave, ratios at the shops...
But we all mostly made it..
Where it all began, when I was brought into this world, it was a great place for what i remember, then in 1988 bi centennial celebrations in full swing, world expo 88 in Brisbane, Australia was on the world stage.
Life changed for many around, travel was mainly by road, as air fares were not generally in reach of most. Road coach as they were called, ferried people all over Australia, many up and down the east coast.
Driven by ex truckies as they had crash box's of various types. Whilst this fixed one issue created others some would suggest.
There has been many horrific incidents over the years with transport in Australia.
As it stands we lose on average (how bad does that sound,) 1200 souls a year on the road. Someones mum, dad, sister, brother, daughter, son, aunty, uncle, friend, mate.
This does not account for those, that have life changing injuries, lost fingers, lost toes, lost arms, lost legs, or lost there mind, or any combination there of.
Mean while in 2020, 3139 Australians took there own life.
Physical injuries are generally more easily identified, whilst they are serious in nature, so too are the unseen injuries.
